Here is a list of the Birthstones for each month of the year. Underneath we have given alternatives for some of the stones as we may not stock them or it could be easier and less expensive. 

Birthstones were originally worn to bring luck and protection however today they are mainly bought for special occasions and as a keepsake present. 


 
 
 


Alternatives - 

For people born in March Blue Topaz is a common substitute as it is similar in appearance without the high price. 

Cubic Zirconia (CZ) is a popular substitute for Diamond as it is hard to tell the difference and you still get great fire from a CZ at a fraction of the price.
