All of our jewellery is hallmarked and carries the 925 stamp of quality. We inspect all of our jewellery when it is purchased and before it is despatched to ensure that your purchase is of a high quality. Hallmarked sterling silver is a precious metal and contains 92.5% silver. This is the legal standard of purity set by the Assay offices in Britain and is the standard used by most silver jewellery around the world. Caring for your silver jewellery Here are a few things that may be useful to jewellery owners; Try to keep you pieces apart so that they don’t rub together or get tangled. Silver needs to be cleaned regularly as it naturally tarnish’s in our atmosphere, although this is not recommended we recommend polishing your jewellery with a high quality silver cloth to maintain its original condition. Try to keep stones away from soaps etc as this can damage the stone over time. Some times silver will oxidise (turn black) when they come into contact with your skin. The natural acids in your skin can react to the additional metals that make up the silver. |
